Statement
Continuation of ethnical cleansing

The Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina condemns a decision of the Mayor of the municipality of Livno Stipo Barun to remove from the office the Director of Veterinary Station Mladen Tieinovia. This removal is legally unfounded and employees of the Veterinary station opposed to it by starting strike.
According to the knowledge of the Helsinki Committee, the decision on removal of the Director Tieinovia from the office has been motivated by the fact that he maintained the staffing of all three Bosnian-Herzegovinian peoples. Since the pressures exerted over the Director did not bring results, we deem that his removal has been made with intention to ethnically cleanse this organization.
We strongly condemn and oppose to still existing tendency for ethnical cleansing and to the cases of discrimination on the national background. We demand from the Mayor of the municipality of Livno to withdraw a decision on removal of the Director Tieinovia for this decision can be qualified only as a rude violation of human rights.
