STATEMENT FOR PUBLIC ON THE
OCCASION OF PRESSURES
EXERTED OVER THE BOSNIAKS
IN TESLIC
On the occasion of frequent cases of pressures
exerted over Bosniaks in the area of Teslic to
leave that region, the Helsinki Committee for
Human Rights in BH emphasizes that it presents
rude violation of human rights and fundamental
freedoms and the violation of the stipulations of
the Dayton Accord as well.
It is a fundamental right of a man to live in his
home and to use his property without being
intimidated or discriminated. All the BH
authorities undertook the obligation to enable
all refugees and displaced persons to safely
return, while the authorities in Teslic, instead
of that, tolerate and instigate further
harassment and expulsions of citizens just
because they do not belong to peoples whose
representatives are presently having power in
that region.
The institutions of the international community
in charge of the implementation of the Peace
Accord in BH, are obliged to undertake energetic
actions and measures needed to prevent that and
to condemn such behaviour.
